Branch to Root have release their latest single, “Home”, built with emotional, raw lyrics which realize that holding onto negative emotions does nothing but impede growth. The depth and soul of this track translates perfectly into live performance when the band truly let themselves go.
“Despite the heartache, we reluctantly wish that those who leave us will get where they need to, mentally and emotionally making it “home“.
Branch the Root; a concept, a sound and a passion. The name is beautifully obscure, clumsy and doesn’t seem to make sense but at the same time resonates as something meaningful. What started in 2015 as a personal project between friends progressed into a body of work which was too big to keep within closed walls.
Since the beginning, the band have toured around the UK as a four piece band, spurring on an online fan-base of dedicated listeners. The band play homage to Rock, Emo and Grunge influences which see their sound compared to the likes of Basement, Citizen, Rival Schools and All Get Out.
Branch to Root ground their music within lyrical themes of family tragedy, dissolving relationships, self-reflection, anxiety and defeat in a cathartic and often bittersweet act that is as many parts therapy as it is performance.
Upcoming live dates:
