New Track by Outerman
Roads is Outerman’s debut single, from the forthcoming album of the same name (releasing June 21st 2019).
What is first introduced as a rich, ambient–almost ghostly–soundtrack, gradually builds up to a powerful, driven, and energetic rock tune. Recorded at the revered Panoramic House Studio in Stinson Beach, California, Roads offers a view into one man’s journey, searching for something more while confronting his own decision making process and the people he encounters along the way. He exhausts every avenue, only to realize that each road will invariably lead to more unknowns – culminating in the haunting, unfinished sequence that ends the song.
Outerman is a trio project from drummer Brian Stevenson, lead guitarist Miles Chan, and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Jonas Waye. What started from a shared love of BS-free, honestly-produced music, grew into a coastal rock endeavor that evokes the feeling of an endless, spectral world. Outerman’s music both integrates and highlights each member’s musical sensibilities, and has naturally found its home in a modern take on the straightforward sound of the 90s.
