Diana Rein, Blues Artist and “Six String Siren” Royally Rules with New Video for “Queen of My Castle”

The video for Diana Rein’s “Queen of My Castle” is the first song off of her album of the same name to be released by Gulf Coast Records ahead of the album’s June 21 release date.

A song to empower all of the Queens in the world, this blues shuffle will get under your toes and lift you up. The inspiration for the fun and whimsical video was ZZ Top-meets-Old Hollywood Movie Musicals and all of the glam and fun that entails. A little song and dance always makes for great entertainment and that’s exactly what Diana aimed for….to entertain and introduce her new single to the World with some groovin’ guitar playing, some flashy sequins and a smile.

“Queen of My Castle” is an majestic and wonderful full of fun and Diana’s zest for making the room light up with just her presence, and her seemingly flirtatious nature in the video is only overshadowed by her talent as a guitarist and vocalist whom has continuously made waves and broken that Glass Ceiling in the Blues Music Scene.

“The new album is a collection of fifteen songs, and one song is a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan,” says Rein. “There’s a lot of traditional blues, high energy, upbeat, and a few blues-rock songs that I know you guys will love. This album will be lucky  number three for me, my first full-band album”

Diana’s love of Blues started at 8, when her parents brought her to a Chicago Blues Club, arranging to have her perform some songs with the band. This was a defining moment. A blues artist was born. Over the years, Diana’s music heroes and influences emerged: SRV, Prince, and Philip Sayce to name a few. But it all started back in Chicago, the home of amazing Blues legends like Buddy Guy.

Music never stopped knocking and Diana is glad she finally swung the door wide open and let it in. So are her fans. Today Diana calls Southern California home, where she continues to release original music and play what feels good for anyone who will listen. Her promise to her fans is that she will never stop making music and growing as an artist.

Rein continues to be a compelling media presence, with recent features in national publications Huffington PostVegan Street Blog, and a Cover Story in Guitar Girl magazine, among others.
