Alternative band Corolla release the visuals for Yoga Burgers
Watford based band Corolla are back with the video release for their latest single Yoga Burgers.
Yoga Burgers is a multi-narrative track, speaking out about the intimate details of a failed relationship as well as struggling to become in touch with spirituality. Within the lyrics, the band describe their difficulties with meditation and relaxation, when comfort eating seems the only means to address inner feelings.
The visuals encompass the bands hazy aesthetic with rich purples, bright pinks and twinkling lights layered on top of dark shadows. Together with the smooth, life-like animation they create a 4 minute dreamscape, the ideal backdrop for Yoga Burgers.
Dimitris Simou is responsible for bringing their vision to life, starting out on the theme of laziness, uncertainty & not being able to feel at ease.
“Everyone is following a light and in his abstract world all 3 characters are not quite present either in their dimension or within themselves.”
Corolla draw influence from the likes of Yo La Tengo, Tracy Chen, Garden City Movement, Baths and Radiohead, shaping their sound into the velvety, synth rock that it is today.
Catch Corolla in their summer warm up gig:
Cassiobury Park, Watford on June 22nd 2019.
