Charley Young: Actress, Singer and Writer, a Southern Woman with New York City Grit
Born in San Diego, California and raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Charley Young as a child, Charley always loved to perform for people, whether it be through music, acting, or writing- She always knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to entertaining. Her dedication to her career led her to opportunities to perform on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, in the White House, and at the Austrian Embassy in Washington, D.C. before graduating high school. Charley has recently performed at Webster Hall, the Duplex, American Beauty NYC, Vinyl Music Hall, and the Bitter End.
Recently, the SAG-AFTRA/AEA/BMI accredited artist has released new music, the stunning and alluring track Hold The Moon is a track worth every attention, although noted as a “dream pop” gene piece, it Transends all genres with a sweet and hypnotic tone, akin to the mid 80’s to early 90’s dance scene of New York dance clubs but with modern flair and perfect timing. Her vocals are passionate and powerful.
As if this blazing work was not enough, she has simultaneously released another version, granted as her “Retro Mix” which emphasizes the lyrics with a stronger back beat, I would say this track will lend itself to airplay in many markets and is a joy to experience.
