The 10 Most Unusual Pieces of Music Merchandise

Any music fan knows that bands and singers don’t just make music. The best way for fans to let other people know what music they’re into is through owning their merchandise.

Most artists sell t-shirts or posters, but others take things further. Here are some of the most unique products out there.

Deadmau5’s cat headphones

The house DJ might always perform in a mouse mask, but it’s not just mice he loves. In 2012, he released the world’s first headphones designed for cats. Only 10 pairs were made, but all the proceeds were donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Pharrell’s liqueur

Back in 2011, Pharrell release Qream, a liqueur for women. The vodka-based drink came in strawberry and peach flavours, but you can no longer buy it, and Pharrell ended up suing the company who made the drink.

OKGO’s air fresheners

A lot of bands and artists release perfumes or colognes. After all, who wouldn’t want to smell like their favourite artist? OKGO, on the other hand, released a range of four air fresheners for your car. There’s one for each member of the band, and they smell like cinnamon, pine, pineapple, and new car.

The White Stripes’ sewing kit

Unlike all the others on this list, this piece of merchandise might actually be useful. It comes with black thread and 38 buttons, including some plain ones and some red-and-white-striped buttons, so you can jazz up some of your boring shirts.

KISS’ coffin

If you’re a huge KISS fan, then this is the best way to spend eternity – buried in a coffin covered with flames, and pictures of the band. It’s called, appropriately enough, the Kiss Kasket, and the band also launched a range of cremation urns.

Fall Out Boy’s bath bomb

Last year, the rock band released their seventh studio album, Mania. To celebrate the release, they also sold a lavender-scented bath bomb, presumably so fans could come to their concerts smelling fresh.

Justin Timberlake’s axe

For his latest album, Man of the Woods, Justin Timberlake had a new, outdoorsy look to go with his new music. His new range of merchandise included flannel shirts, blankets, and, of course, an axe.

Guns N’ Roses’ online slot machine

There are a lot of slot machines inspired by films and TV shows out there, but there’s also one inspired by Guns N’ Roses. You can choose one of their hits to listen to while you’re playing, from Paradise City to November Rain. If that’s caught your eye and you want to give it a go, then you can find some of the best Canadian bonus codes at bonus.ca before you start playing.

The Rolling Stones’ skis

To celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary, The Rolling Stones decided to release a new album, tour the world and put out some new merchandise, including a pair of limited-edition skis.

Eminem’s bricks

A few years ago, Eminem started giving away his childhood home to his biggest fans, brick by brick. For just $313, fans could buy a copy of his debut album on cassette, which came with a single brick in a stylish display case.
