LéPonds Announces New EP “Lean To”

The singer songwriter’s third EP to release September 26, 2019

After a busy winter spent writing and recording, LéPonds (Lisa Houdei) is thrilled to announce her latest EP, Lean To, which she produced alongside Tim Gebauer at Electropolis Studios in St. Louis, MO. The 6-song collection separates Houdei from her past work with LéPonds as she navigates a earthy folk and world-music inspired production by introducing woodwinds, nylon-string guitar and ethereal vocal effects to her otherwise indie-pop sound.

Lean To’s first single, Quail Ridge, was written in the dead of winter, where inspiration and warmth can be sparse. The single introduces soothing woodwinds and a hypnotic acoustic rhythm that brings forth the warmth of a fireplace into the cold, dark winter in which the song was conceived. The album’s second single, The Hollywood Baby, showcases a sound more similar to LéPonds’ previous material. Crystal clear electric guitar introduces the song, which flows elegantly into an electronic beat, compelling the listener’s head to bob; finishing with an absolute earworm of a choral hook that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
