Performance Friday Sept 27th at Standing Sun Wines 7:30 pm Tickets $15.00
Standing Sun Wines 92 2nd St Ste D Buellton, California
3 iconic artists in one significant performance to grace the sleepy California town of Buellton CA in what will be a memorable evening of musical bliss.
Kim Ruehl, Folk Alley: “Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Greg Felden doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff. His solo debut, Made of Strings is a sincere and heartbreaking collection of songs about life and its often-enormous questions, its unexpected twists and turns.”
Greg Felden isn’t trying to hide, and he isn’t pulling any punches. His songwriting has been consistently praised for its honesty, intelligence and emotional gravity. Made of Strings is a dynamic, impassioned collection of tunes that reflect the country and folk he was weaned on and the indie songwriters of the Pacific Northwest where he grew up. Now based in Los Angeles, he’s a staple of the Americana scene, earning respect and fans with his finely-crafted songs and captivating delivery. Greg is heard regularly on KCSN and KPFK.
American Songwriter: “Haunted by memories of idyllic times, while also being consumed by a loss of love and the frustration that goes with it.”
Brad Byrd has written songs that firmly occupy the rarely-explored middle ground between indie rock and alt-country. He’s a genre-spanning musician, carving out a diverse sound fueled by melody, detailed storytelling, and the instincts of a journeyman songwriter who began making Americana music long before the genre had a name. He’s shared the stage with a variety of musicians, such as Jay Farrar, Mike Doughty, They Might Be Giants, Everlast, Lee DeWyze, and Family of the Year.
Performing Songwriter calls Stars&Curses “…awash with atmosphere… all shimmer and seduction,” and Bullz-eye.com says “Fans of artists like Josh Rouse and Josh Ritter will find a lot to love here; Brown’s voice is strong and slightly reedy around the edges, giving the music just enough homespun edge to keep things grounded….”
Coby Brown is an LA based songwriter and composer. He produced his 4th full length,Everything Looks Different To Me Now, along with Justin Stanley (Jamie Liddel, Ryan Bingham, Sheryl Crow). Recorded in 4 sessions over 2017 and 2018 at Matter Music and Boulevard Recording in Hollywood, the record features an all-star band of Tyler Chester (Andrew Bird, Blake Mills) and John Flaugher (Andra Day, Joseph Arthur) on bass, Aaron Redfield (Hozier, the Bird and the Bee) and Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson, John Cale) on drums, David Immergluck (Counting Crows, Camper Van Beethoven) on guitars and Ollie Krauss (Sia, Tom McRae) arranging strings.
The three artists together create a trifecta of sound that will be the opening of a musical year like no other, and will be the talk of the season.
