Odds Lane premiers the brand new video for “Seven States”

Gulf Coast Records artists Odds Lane have launched the official Video for the track “Seven States” off their latest album “Lost & Found”.

The video was released on their Facebook page yesterday, Wednesday September 18 at 6pm. The video was put together with footage filmed during the recording sessions at producer Mike Zito’s Marz Studio in Nederland, Texas.

Along with shots filmed during the recording sessions for “Lost & Found” the video for “Seven States” contains candid footage of the band and longtime friend, producer, and founder of their record label Mike Zito and studio engineer Zach Feemster.

When we reviewed the “Lost & Found” album a bit ago, we said “The music of Odds Lane has been compared to that of Steely Dan and the great contemporaries of our time, yet Lost & Found stands as a true original masterpiece of creativity on the parts of the duo Odds Lane, rooted in Jazzy / Blues infused foundation, the album shines and draws you into a full and harmonious world created by Doug and Brian.”, and this video shows the accuracy of the commentary.

This video is a very well created and humorous look at the “life of rock & roll stars”, the camp-ish and funny in the studio clips and takes, the funny faces and the looks on Mike Zito’s face at times, just great fun, and imbues the frivolity of making music as being a labor of love and not frivolous at all. And Mike doing push-ups… well got to stay in shape.

Man, that drummer has some serious patience…
