DINA BACH AND PHIL CIRCLE AT UNCOMMON GROUND

Phil Circle will be sharing the stage with Dina Bach for each to present a full set of our original material.

Phil Circle met Dina at the CDBaby DIY Musicians Conference in Austin back in August when hey both walked up to the same guy and started talking. That guy was Bob Baker and Dina and Phil promptly realized they were both from Chicago and had yet to work together. She commented on how long it had been since she’d played Uncommon Ground and just featured her original work. So, Phil set this show up.

RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! CLICK HERE.

DINA BACH AND PHIL CIRCLE

Sunday, November 3rd from 6-8pm

Uncommon Ground Edgewater

1401 W. Devon Ave. in Chicago.

More about Phil Circle:

Singer Songwriter / Folk Blues Jazz Rock and Progressive Musical Artist Phil Circle is not your ordinary songster picking away quietly on his acoustic guitar in the same old folksy idiom as so many others of this genre.

Phil blends elements of jazz, blues, alternative, and even classical, to seamlessly create a style truly his own. Add to this his energetic live performance, and he lands far away from what most people think of when you say “Singer/Songwriter.”

Phil Circle has always preferred to pursue his career on his terms, mostly by disregarding the much sought-after “record label” in favor of his own, booking more intimate venues that appreciate the musician and his work, and receiving radio play on stations all over the country and world that look for independent talent.

Phil’s debut release in the 90s was hailed by In The Mix as “just what the doctor ordered” and they pointed out that his music “defies rock, jazz and blues” saying his songs were “from the master class.” 20 years later, Illinois Entertainer referred to his latest full band effort as proof that Phil is “one of our town’s most unique voices.”

Phil Circle’s prolific songwriting and powerful performance make him a staple of Chicago music.” – Centerstage Chicago Who’s Who in Music

Here’s Dina Bach’s Bio:

BMI recording artist and singer/songwriter Dina Bach just released her first full length album, Walk Away, which includes her award winning single, Slow Dance. She plays live at some of Chicago’s hottest venues -House of Blues, Joe’s Bar, SPACE Evanston- and sang the national anthem for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field last summer. This self-taught pianist (and former Spanish teacher) started writing music at a young age and now performs full-time, touring nationally.
