Tobias Wonderdog release brand new EP ‘A Land of Paper Chimneys’
Alt Rock/Country artist Tobias Wonderdog released their debut EP ‘A Land of Paper Chimneys’ on the November 15th 2019. This is their 2nd release of the year, following on from their summer single ‘The Sun’.
‘A Land of Paper Chimneys‘ sees Tobias Wonderdog set the bar high from the word ‘go‘. The EP was co-produced by session drummer Mark Kennedy (Spectrum, Men At Work, Jimmy Barnes). Winding its way through each track, the band’s first effort provides a plethora of emotion to its listeners. From truly tender passages to energetic, bombastic rock, Tobias Wonderdog prove themselves to be both infectious and versatile.
With a sound of melancholic anxiousness and a mystical, mysteriousness of renewing wonder, the album waxes poetic upon emotions mostly held deep within and an almost ghostly silent rage, the music of Tobias Wonderdog gives the listener shivers in each refrain of verse and chorus.
Tobias Wonderdog is masterminded by Mat Weaven, an Australian singer/songwriter. Originally finding his start as a trumpet player, he went on to fronting a number of local bands, including Upstream, earning support slots for the likes of The Screaming Jets and Airbourne.
Tobias Wonderdog started work on his debut EP in 2013, taking almost 6 years to hone and perfect the project before it’s imminent release this year. Inspired by the likes of Pearl Jam and John Frusciante, Tobias Wonderdog’s unique take on Alt Rock and Country helps him to stand out amongst his peers.
‘A Land of Paper Chimneys‘ is now available across all major streaming platforms.
