Swiss Metal/Hardcore/Noise-Rock practioners MONTECHARGE streamed new album ‘Demons Or Someone Else’
As announced previously : a few weeks after already unveiled some audio and video excerpts from the effort, Swiss metal/hardcore/noise rock practioners MONTECHARGE, whom have just released their debut full-length record called ‘Demons Or Someone Else’ and available right now on CD, LP & Digital through various labels such as Abekeit, URGENCE DISK RECORDS, Violence In The Veins or WOOAAARGH.
In addition to the official release-news, the band also shared the whole record for full-streaming on Bandcamp and the main legal services.
MONTECHARGE emerged in 2007 as a reunion between two members of Amok, a defunct grind/death outfit from Geneva, Switzerland. They rapidly wrote their first tracks with the intent to deliver aggressive music while aiming for a form of subtlety.
As a side-project, the band initially remained a guitar/drum duo. They self-produced a 5-track EP in 2012, which was released as a 10’’ vinyl limited to 100 copies. In 2013, Montecharge expanded to include a third member in order to reinforce its experimental inclinations with synthesizers, Theremin and various noise machines.
The trio then recorded three tracks in studio to answer the call of a Swedish multi-band project named Elemental Nightmares. One track was published on the compilation and two were released on a 7’’ with Hummus Records. After a second hiatus due to implications in other projects the band regrouped in 2016 with renewed strength to write their first album and search for a vocalist.
Both of which came to fruition early 2017: Montecharge took on the studio as a quartet to record an album with Thierry Van Osselt (of Knut fame) in Geneva.
