New Music Spotlight: Backstage Stories by Robertas Semeniukas

Robertas Semeniukas is a prolific composer, producer, arranger, professional guitarist and singer. Driven by a deep love for his craft, Robertas’s music has earned him performances in festivals across the globe, from China to Texas.

Throughout his career he’s collaborated with many famous Lithuanian and foreign musicians, composers and producers. He often participates in television on various musical projects, performs in major arenas in the country, works as a session musician in recording studios, produces and records other performers and develops his solo career.

Robertas has performed at various prestigious music festivals and concert halls in the USA, China, Canada, Austria, Norway, Great Britain, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Poland, Russia and other European countries. He is involved in educational activities, sharing his experiences with young creators in his master classes not only in Lithuania but also abroad.

Currently, Robertas is actively cooperating with Marijonas Mikutavičius, as well as Veronika Povilionienė, the most famous Lithuanian folk singer.

Robertas Semeniukas has a dizzying list of collaborations and his music has taken him to festivals across the globe. Still, Robertas continues to pursue excellence on his solo path with new full-length album “Backstage Stories”.

The album contains of 20 tracks, 12 instrumental and 8 vocal tracks. There is also one cover track, the blues composition “You Gotta Move” by Mississippi Fred McDowell. All vocal tracks are in Lithuanian language.

The album was released Nov 20th, 2019 on digital, CD and limited edition 180 g 2xLP gatefold vinyl, featuring a 12 pages booklet. 

“As a musician and guitarist I used to play and record with the different bands and artists for many years. But deep inside I carried a passion and vision that I would record and perform as a solo artist. It took me many years to finally pursue recording a solo album which would have plenty of guitar compositions and my vocal could be heard. For this album I was inspired by my guitar heroes – Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jeff Beck, Slash, Guns N’Roses, Queen, Metallica, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and many others. “
