Brad Heller & The Fustics

unnamed (1)

Whether with his backing band, The Fustics, or performing as an acoustic artist, Brad Heller has established himself as a credible force among current songwriters.  Honing his craft for over a decade and a half, the Wilmington, North Carolina transplant has built a reputation as a thoughtful song-smith who tackles a wide range of personal and social issues.  Bouncing between a myriad of genres, Heller finds creative drive in honoring musical influences that inspired him, while never abandoning his own unique sound. With the release of The Sentence, Heller continues to build his audience with constant touring and spirited live shows.  Heller’s latest effort centers on middle-class characters while exploring themes of loss, self-imposed alienation, abandonment of faith, addiction, and immigration. Voted Wilmington’s “Best Original Rock Band,” Brad Heller and the Fustics will continue touring the U.S. full force into the New Year and beyond. www.bradhellermusic.com.

Jangling Sparrows release “Bootstraps And Other American Fables,” the follow-up to 2017’s critically-acclaimed 140 Nickels. Release Date: Friday, January 17.

“Bootstraps… is a wall of sound rock and roll record designed to be your companion through trouble and triumph,” says Paul Edelman, singer, songwriter, guitarist, poet and performer who fronts the Asheville, North Carolina-based group. “The album is book-ended by two songs about struggle and understanding. In between are stories and characters that personify the American landscape and condition – the painful, the ridiculous, the confusing, the frustrating, the crazy, the strong and the insecure. it’s all here, large and loud to match the big American rock and roll heart.” Jangling Sparrows are Louis Stein (bass), Joe Grey (drums), and Paul Edelman (guitar/vocals). Bootstraps… was produced, recorded and engineered by Amos McGregor at Marshall Sound Studio in Marshall, North Carolina, and mastered by Derek Brown. www.janglingsparrows.com.
