Interview with Kopo Magic

Thanks for your time today! So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. Where you started and where you are now.

The magic started as soon as I could reach the keys of the piano. I couldn’t stop playing and would play sometime up to 10 hours a day growing up. Now I have branched out to playing harp, ukulele, percussion and singing. Now I am stepping into my wild side and seeing what this is all about.

The music business can be tough, what is something you would change if you could?

It’s evolving like everything else is and honestly I would keep it evolving. Its easier to reach people world wide. The only thing I would change is to pay more royalties per song.

Tell us what have been some challenges in your career so far?  What have been the greatest achievements so far?

My biggest challenge has been that my music is always evolving. I’m always stepping into different styles and trying new things. My greatest achievement this far is getting a placement into a local movie City Of Salt. That has been getting some amazing awards.

When you are performing do you ever experience performance anxiety or stage fright? If so, what do you do to combat it?

Sometimes I do right before it begins and I take a deep breath and sing my heart out. As soon as I start singing the fright is over and I’m totally within the element of the music.

You have accomplished so much in your career, what big dreams are you chasing next?

My dreams and goals are to create a balance where I don’t need to work 2 jobs and I can go tour the world and share my passion of music.

Anything else going on in your world you would like to share?

I’ve been working on a new song and hopefully soon will be releasing it.
