The trust musicians have in the brand of GoGo Tuners took on a whole new meaning with founder and entrepreneur Mike Mostert pitched the idea of creating a record of all original music and genre-crossing participation from the all-star GoGo Tuner roster.
A flurry of ‘yes’s’ convinced Mostert his instincts were right, and the resulting self-titled debut, a nine-song collection of tight, rock-driven spectacles with hints of blues, Americana, jazz and instrumentals, ‘just works.’ Recorded at the illustrious Legendary Music City Muscle Shoals (Alabama), “She’s Gone” is the first single from Mike Mostert & The GoGo Tuner Family album kicks off with a tight shred and infectious chorus under Mostert’s production that implements a combination of new school meets old school music.
Featuring the powerhouse and emotional Tony Covino on vocals, Mostert on guitars, Joe Sachs on bass, David Bedell on drums and Latavius Mulzac on keyboards, “She’s Gone” starts out with a dreamy, spellbinding hues, before unleashing a crushing bombardment of guitars and punishing percussion. Covino’s locals are relishing, his delivery emphasized by the melodic chorus.
“This entire record is a passion project in the truest sense,” Mostert said. “We chose “She’s Gone” as our first single because it makes a bold statement, but listeners can expect all our songs to be a pleasure journey like no other.”
Headquartered in Los Angeles and his adopted city of Music City Muscle Shoals, Mostert formed The Original GoGo Tuner in 2011. The award-winning company boasts not only creating a popular brand but the company transcends the industry. The Original GoGoTuner has an organic cult following of dedicated musicians and a special relationship with the GoGo Tuner Family roster and friends alike.
