Review: Scant Regard “You Know the Drill”

“You Know the Drill”, a hard driving insanity that never, ever stops. A relentless display of hard rock, black rhythms, dark musical passages, constant, persistent, rebellious holographs on a single guitar….global overtaking by Scant Regard. A fearless Sci-fi adventure themes the album with a War of the World’s sentiment and excursion. It’s a timeless, futuristic vision.

Ultimately mastermind Will Crewdson leading guitarist ruling the planet has done it once more in the form of Scant Regard and the 6th record to be unveiled. “Ulterior Motives” is outwardly message evoking while others on the 10 track release leave music to tell the story. “Nevertheless” kills the rock ballad saga with soul, emotion and passion, while the guitar speaks the lyrics. “Rogue Prototype” is a chaotic sensibility and journey into another realm of somewhere else. “No More” transports you deep into the mosh pit, gasping for air, begging for your life and loving it. “Heart Torn Blood”, has a full rock n roll melodic texture and addictive essence.

Scant Regard shatters every spectrum of music in the best possible way. “You Know the Drill” is more lyric driven the usual yet frenzied and exciting. Crewdson lead guitarist for Adam Ant, “She Made Me Do It”, Rachel Stamp and countless others takes control of his solo project Scant Regard and engages. The record causes you to levitate out of your chair and discover another perception. It’s bold, it’s defiant, it’s sarcastic, it’s passionate and it’s everything that makes music relevant and exhilarating. The music evokes!
