Single Review: Walker’s Cay “Tell Me”

Chorus saturated acoustic guitars begin the sparsely produced single ‘Tell Me’, from Walker’s Cay. The chord structure is familiar, but not overly derivative, with hints of 90s era grunge. A creative middle section diverts attention from the linear style of the arrangement, featuring a splendid vocal harmony and Brian May style guitar solo that builds into the song’s conclusion. Relationship-based lyrics serve to compliment the music, and a prominently mixed lead vocal fills the gaps between cleverly timed rhythmic rests. A deceptively simple song, ‘Tell Me’ is but a taste of what Walker’s Cay is capable of dishing up.
