Neil Nyberg “Electric” by Eileen Shapiro

Bassist for The California psych group Revolushn , Neil Nyberg is “Electric” himself.  Also the guitarist and singer for the glam rock/solar punk sensation Nalamora, he hopes to inspire world peace and human achievement.

I shared questions and answers with Neil regarding his take on REvolushn’s new hit song “Electric”……Neil is a blast!!

How did you get involved with such a cool and crazy crew?

NO and I met in the local SF music scene at a popular open mic and we became friends and he started playing in my band Nalamora. Eventually an opening arose and soon I started playing in Revolushn too. We have a lot of fun.

How do you interpret “Electric” from your point of view?

I interpret it perhaps as the collective vibration of humanity rising and people all over the Earth becoming truly empowered and enlightened for the first time in history.

How much do you love the video, and what’s your favorite part?

The video is spectacular, Olga did an outstanding job with all the visuals and complexity of the different imagery. It’s a powerful video! I like all the parts and how they fit together.

If you could have your ultimate stage fantasy what would have to happen?

We’d be cranking out our finale banger on a fat stage big enough for like 50 people to stand there with us holding signs spelling ‘Unity Is Power’ or something, and then they all dance into the crowd as confetti drops,  rockets fire and fireworks go off at the very end. Oh, and there’s lasers too. 

Aside from Revolushn are you currently doing some solo projects?

I’m the singer/guitarist in Nalamora, which NO plays in too! We’re indie glam rock and solarpunk and we work to inspire world peace and human advancement. 

What do you enjoy most about playing live?

Playing live is a rush, cuz you’re helping produce all this synergistic energy. And it’s a natural high. And when the audience gets down to it, it sends groovy vibes all around. 

What can we expect from Neil next?

More shows with Revolushn! And I’m finishing new Nalamora songs that are about how blockchain technology can be used to decentralize power structures and improve billions of lives when implemented in global voting platforms.
