So happy to chat with you today Codi! We would love to learn more about you – Describe yourself in 3 words?

Eccentric, Humble, and Motivated

Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?

This was a tough question to answer, because I’ve been influenced by so many people who have grown me into the person I am today.

Although, as of recently I’ve been thinking a lot about and missing my papaw who passed last September. He was like a second father to me. He raised me to be kind and polite, and always supported my path I was taking in music. I miss him everyday! But I hear him still, through the music and in my dreams and he continues to support me. His impact on my life is untouchable, he really taught me how to be the leader in my craft, and how to spread love while doing it.

Do you ever get nervous before you play music live?

I used to. But it’s my passion, and I become myself on stage. So I don’t usually get nervous unless I’m about to try something new or share a new song cause it’s my music, my honesty and truth. However,  I have to be, and want to vulnerable with the audience.

What is your next goal as a musician?

I have many goals, that are very big! My next major goal is to put out my self-produced album by this summer along with some visuals. This is something I’ve been working on for awhile and I’m so excited and proud of what is coming of it. I also would like to start touring, I one day hope to have that moment of seeing my name in lights, playing sold out arenas across the world and getting to discover and indulge in the various cultures.

What is you favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?

Well… I am an avid car karaoke type person. So it honestly depends on my mood! I recently have been singing along to some of the tracks of the upcoming record I’m putting out. I’m just so happy with them. Other than that, I’ve noticed I’ve been singing a lot to Dua Lipa & Gaga.

Name one your strengths?

To find the good in a bad situation or in someone. I feel like that is something a lot of people struggle with, and fail to find and see something light in a dark situation or a dark person . The world will be a better place if we choose to love one another and spread kindness. So I believe and follow that instinct to give someone or something the benefit of the doubt, even if sometimes it doesn’t work out.

What is your own definition of happiness?

To be completely honest, I wish I had a strong answer. I personally have struggled with finding happiness in myself or even with what I’m doing. It’s okay to be unsure or unhappy with where you might be at in your life, but I suggest looking for and trying to achieve happiness the best way possible, until you have it.

I think happiness should start within, and everything else will fall into place. I still struggle with loving myself and being happy with who I am, but it’s hard, especially in today’s society where everything and everyone is under a microscope. I try to be honest and real with my music and my struggles, and I want my fans and new audiences to understand me and know that I understand them. Music is my happiness, leading me to find myself all over again. Happiness is an evolution, it may change, but it has to start with you!

How’s a typical day in your life?

With being one quarantine and not working a day job, I thought I would not know what to do out of my routine. However, I’ve found so much joy in this time to create and focus on the new music that is to come this year! I usually spend my mornings working on music, and then I’ll usually take some time to workout. I like to keep healthy and fit, it’s also another passion of mine. Some days I’ll take it easier at nights and watch some Disney, if I’m not doing a Virtual Show!
