Interview With Beats Universal
Beats Universal is a music production company formed in 2013 and consisting of three music producers who are currently based in the USA, UK and Greece. They produce beats for music artists and rappers in several different genres, but their main genres are currently Hip Hop, Rap and Reggae instrumentals which are available for sale online on their website BeatsUniversal.com
IPM: Beats Universal works with a lot of different styles of music. Which ones would you say are the most popular that you deal with?
BU: We can produce in many different styles, but currently our focus is mainly on Rap Beats, Hip Hop Instrumentals and Reggae Riddims. But we also produce R&B, Pop, Trap, Boom Bap beats and more.
IPM: What inspired you to pursue a music career in the first place?
BU: Each one of us has their own reasons, but there is one thing that we all share in common – our love for music production.
IPM: What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced as a music production company?
BU: I’d probably say getting more artists to hear our work, as there’s a lot of competition in the beat-selling space and too many music producers and beatmakers who are all trying to succeed online, so it’s not always easy, and in order to separate yourself from the crowd you need to learn how to brand and promote yourself, so you can get more artists and rappers to learn about you and hear your work.
IPM: What other services are you offering to artists through your website?
BU: Besides beats for sale, we also offer several artist services such as website design, mixing and mastering, lyric video production services and more.
IPM: What’s around the corner for Beats Universal? Where do you see the company in 5 years?
BU: We are always trying to expand and grow our business so we can reach even more artists and bring some great music into the world.
