Warm Laundry Records Announces Latest Compilation: ‘till they were nodding and their eyes were sandy’
Profits from the 6-track release will go to mental health charity Black Minds Matter
Hailing from North London, independent label Warm Laundry Records offers up six of the most exciting new artists from across the country as they announce their latest compilation record till they were nodding and their eyes were sandy. Featuring artists from scenes as disparate as London, Milton Keynes and Cumbria, the compilation aims to shine a light on music that might otherwise go unheard or underappreciated.
The genre-diverse mix of tracks showcases the dulcet tones of lofi indie-pop group American Humour, the melancholic folk of Slabtoe, Lou Terry’s cathartic acoustics, the ambient IDM of LORE, bedroom.org’s glitching electronica, and the spiraling doom of duo MOUTHS.
Volume #6 of the compilation series will be the first to offer a physical release, with a limited run of 50 cassettes including plantable download codes created from handmade paper and a wildflower seed mix.
All profits from the release will support mental health charity Black Minds Matter.
Started in 2016, Warm Laundry specializes in providing a platform to promising new artists at the beginning of their careers, having previously released work from the likes of Jerskin Fendrix, deathcrash, Chappaqua Wrestling, Cavernzz, Debondy and 60s Space Engine. The label has hosted sold-out shows across London, Manchester, Bristol and Cambridge, and has curated the main stage lineup of Three Wheel Drive Festival since 2017.
