Gulf Coast Records artist Kat Riggins latest album “Cry Out“, Produced by Mike Zito,  now  available from Gulf Coast Records is an album that is soulful and not a typical R&B / Blues album. In addition to powerful blues oriented tracks and some that have a sinfully seductive enigmatic draw, there are tracks that are in tune with the present issues of this country, and is a wake up call to those that stand by and watch the madness unfold.

In commentary, Kat Riggins says of one such song, “Cry Out is a call to action, it is no secret that, as a nation, we don’t practice what we preach, and that the principles that we live by are in contradiction with each other.” Which is no surprise that it would be the title track of this album, and one that Gulf Coast Records offers with swelling pride.

Inspired by the variety and abundance of music in her parents’ collection, it makes sense that her own music is peppered with hints of R&B, soul, country, gospel, hip-hop, and rock-n-roll. Make no mistake; however, Kat Riggins is undeniably a BLUES WOMAN! She travels the world with the sole mission of keeping the blues alive and thriving through her Blues Revival Movement.

From the very first track “Son Of A Gun” which blows you away with examples of Kat Riggins’ amazing vocal range to the eerie and malevolent tones of the final track, the big #13 “The Storm”, which has a foreboding warning of what comes if you cross a woman in love. I would say that each and every song on this album has significance in the life of Kat Riggins, as it appears she draws from life’s experiences in their creation and her amazing performance of each and every track.

Cry Out by Kat Riggins, though only released a short time ago, is already being praised by the ones whom know in the Blues and R&B Music scene, and the global music world in general.  If you appreciate pure talent and exceptional musical performance, you need to hear this absolute and soon to be award winning album.
