Singer / Songwriter Paul Edelman and his group Jangling Sparrows has once again taken to create a video that is both stirring and visually appealing in all the right ways. in the new video titled “Joshua Chamberlain“, Edelman waxes poetic in an American Rock fashion, taking a stance while “poking the bear”. From the album BOOTSTRAPS and Other American Fables, this song calls for the true spirit of the American Dream to come and save us all.
In the stage of drama that is the streets of this country, Paul brings out both guns blazing, with images of the heartland and protest, this is a great video and a great song.
Paul Edelman says “Although the song was written a while back so it wasn’t meant to be specific to anyone, it’s theme turned out to be prescient to the current times. The videographer, Dustin Maxwell at Big Love Productions and myself agreed on the theme of the city in all it’s grit and the folks living in it for our visual anchors. As the song is an ode, a calling really, to a great historical figure, I liked the idea of finding the “Joshua Chamberlain”, the righteous fighter in all of us. The song was written for these times so we thought it was appropriate to show the people, the humanity behind the big ideas.”
