Just A Jester releases latest single ‘Painted Lady’

A song in the key of unconditional love and inspired by a host of butterflies on a country walk, Just A Jester makes our day with his brand new single ‘Painted Lady’. With the track coming together very quickly, this is in fact the 23rd song created by singer/songwriter, Just A Jester since 2018! 

Just A Jester establishes the perfect track to hit play on after popping in your earphones while you head out on your daily walk! The song happens to be a double edged sword, and paints a picture of a man’s love affair with a ‘Painted Lady’, which can be considered as an Americanism for a ‘Lady of the Night’. An alternative pop delight for fans of Peter Gabriel and with influence from 80’s David Bowie, this track crosses over many genres and could become the next good-time/summer-time hit to get stuck in our heads! 

Just A Jester is the solo project of Tim Whitaker. A musician of many talents and with an impressive music background, he plays/ records all of the instrumentals and takes responsibility for all engineering/ production. After releasing the “Clear Blue” E.P. in Oct 2018, he secured global radio play and has since added 8 other singles to the Just A Jester project, 6 of which have reached the top 10 in various independent chart shows! 

Tim has recorded at Peter Gabriel’s studio “Real World”, where some of Peter’s band assisted with bass, sax and drums! If that isn’t epic enough, Tim has had over 10 years of success with ‘The Whitaker Brothers‘, a music project with his brother Simon. Their song ‘Good Love’ is still played on Planet Rock to this day and they previously supported Van Morrison at the Ivor Novello Song Awards! Not to mention having played Glastonbury Acoustic several times! Just A Jester can’t and won’t stop making music, so today is the perfect day to check out ‘Painted Lady’.
