Quianna Crute’s new Single/Video “Anthem (ft. Canton Jones)”
A lush vocal harmony is initially the only element in the master mix of Quianna Crute’s new single and music video “Anthem (ft. Canton Jones)” that most listeners will be able to focus on, and although it’s joined by a simplistic beat in the backdrop and not much else, it could have been placed before a symphony and still stood out as the brightest of a thousand stars. Crute isn’t playing around in this track – she’s out to spread the gospel’s message of love, compassion and respect for God any way she can, and her moxie yields one of the more intimate performances of her career thus far in “Anthem.”

Jones’ role in this single isn’t a small one, but let’s be honest; when you’re inside the studio with a woman with the kind of artistic abilities his phenomenal collaborator has, it’s all about just trying to keep up.
His smooth rapping interspersed with her sharp, commanding lead sets the tone for how we’ll interpret most of the lyrics, but at the end of the day, there’s really only one true focal point we’re to be tuned-in with in “Anthem,” and it is the girl behind the grooves herself.
“Anthem” is hardly the only gospel track I’ve listened to in 2020 that had a big impact on me as a critic, but for those emerging from her scene at the moment, there’s no way you can deem Quianna Crute anything other than a fiercely rising powerhouse and maintain some sense of professional credibility. She’s on fire in her debut album Created to Worship, and if you haven’t already, I would tell you to get out and hear what the record’s complete tracklist has to say – starting, of course, with the lead single that has exposed it to so many new fans around the world.
