KasēoGems Covers The Boss in Reverence

Newly formed Vancouver-based musical duo KasēoGems (singer songwriters Geoff Gibbons and Vicky Sjohall) have prepared a special treat for their debut single together – a heartfelt, impeccably produced cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s “I’m On Fire”. The video is done very well and holds a reverence for the originator in glorious esteem.

Vancouver’s KasēoGems deliver a stirring and slightly darker portrayal of the ’84 classic. The songs and video for this project were all created remotely during these strange pandemic times. It is the duo’s hope you find a warm melancholy space inside the music and visuals.

There is a mood that permeates the sound of the duo KasēoGems. Geoff Gibbons and Vicky Sjohall used the lockdown of 2020 to collaborate remotely and create songs, both covers and originals. With the texture of acoustic instruments and warm harmonies the music is intimate, emotive, and even dark. In a time where we are grieving the loss of normalcy, the music of KasēoGems is a nostalgic blanket.
