Artist Spotlight: ВЕЩЬ
Истинная сила и мощь, доверяйте своему сердцу, потому что глаза лгут
Russian avant-garde / post industrial group ВЕЩЬ (Vesch) has made it’s way here to US music trends, their sound is very similar to the 80’s wave-pop sound that was wide spread over Europe and is still just as necessary today as it ever was. It is with a great deal of enthusiasm that I bring this group to you, I personally find this type of creativity impressive and I do appreciate the weird and eclectic.

In a quote from commentary, Anastasia, one of the members of ВЕЩЬ (pronounced: vesch [vɛʃ]) had this to tell me: “ ВЕЩЬ is a music band and a theatre troupe, all in one. Each of our shows is a spot-on and absurd performance. The band’s prickly and sarcastic music balances between punk, jazz, and Soviet variety art.”
Their second album “Mechanical Sounds for Rhythmic Expression” (released on 24 August) consists of an everyday stream of content that may seem obvious (news, Facebook posts, rumors, gossip), but at the same time it’s turned inside out and brought to an extreme level of absurdity. Thus, the information that has recently depressed us becomes ridiculed and neutralized.
