The Immaculate Crows releases debut EP “Different Birds”
Release Date: 17th February
‘Different Birds’ is the long awaited debut EP from Australian Alternative Rock band The Immaculate Crows. Founding member Bruce Neilsen has reunited with former member Mark Hocknell for this recording project, teaming up with a collective of local musicians. With the EP taking on various themes, from a protest song to a song about female empowerment. ‘Different Birds’ showcases the breadth of the band’s creativity and originality, with each recording capturing the energy and excitement of the band.

Originally formed in 1982, The Immaculate Crows have returned following a 35 year hiatus. Bruce Neilsen was originally a poet and harmonica player who enlisted David Page to join the band. David was the first Australian to get a Tamla-Motown recording contract and the first gay indigenous singer to front an Australian Alternative band. Earlier recordings were unreleased until 2019, when Bruce digitalized the old recordings. With their music transcending genre, The Immaculate Crows sounds fresh and energetic with a delightful retro vibe to the recordings. Their debut EP features some re-recordings of older songs as well as two newer compositions, and we can’t wait to hear more!
