Canadian Country Singer Songwriter Fraser Newcombe Releases his Latest Single

"My Tribute to George Jones" takes you back to the roots of Country Music.

Fraser Newcome was born and raised in a small fishing town on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Music has always been a large part of his life. Now living in Tangier, Nova Scotia, Fraser continues a life of music. It takes a commitment to seek success in country music which is even more challenging during a pandemic. Fraser knew that now would be the perfect time to release his music,  because music can connect.

Fraser is exhilarated to release  “My Tribute to George Jones” on March 15th.  A heartfelt song paying tribute to one of the greatest country singers of all time.  His single will be dropped with worldwide distribution through Blast FM.

Right from the start of this song, you will be taken back, with the rhythm kept by an east coast kitchen fiddle. The guitar leads in spades, leading to the story that’s unveiled. Frasers song reminisces of times long gone with the road weary country artist. This song encompasses a gentle melody that allows your imagination to wander.

Fraser Newcombe and his Custom Made Lobster Guitar

Fraser continued his musical journey encompassed by his family at a young age. He formed a small school band. They played at all the social gatherings in their home town. Fast forward to  2019 and Fraser recruited 15 local artists in Nova Scotia. They made the journey to the North American Country Music Awards International (NACMAI) in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  They played at the Star Tonight Theatre. Fraser wanted to relive this experience again. In 2020 he made arrangements for a bus with 28 artists from two provinces to attend the award show…then Covid put a stop to that quickly.

Fraser formed  “Pick of the Crop” in 2000.  While exploring and expanding his musical career, Fraser and his bass player embarked on a new adventure. They began playing shows together touring and playing in Branson, Nashville, Somerset KY, and several other states.  Fraser combines his passion for seafood and song by strumming on a lobster guitar, which has become a fan favorite.

Fraser aspires to one day be performing his new single at the Grand Ole Opry. In the meantime, he remains focused on his music.  When asked what he would like his music to accomplish – Fraser responds “I feel I have brought some Joy and Comfort to my fans over the years with my songwriting and music, and I hope to continue doing what I enjoy most.”

Please follow Fraser Newcome and become part of his country journey.
