Promise To Myself releases new single “Twenty” to bring awareness to Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Arizona based Alt Pop-Rock band PROMISE TO MYSELF Release new single “Twenty” in awareness of sudden cardiac arrest Available Everywhere NOW

Even after releasing their sophomore EP “I Might Be Crazy” in February 2020 and a pandemic hitting the world, that didn’t stop Promise To Myself from pushing forward with writing songs and keeping up with their fans on social media while waiting on live shows to resume.

Following the release of their single “Changes” at the end of 2020, Promise To Myself was approached by the organization SafeBeat to write a song to bring awareness of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in young people.

SafeBeat is a national initiative that establishes local and regional preventative heart screenings in an effort to prevent sudden death in youth and create a healthier generation throughout America’s public middle/high school systems to reduce sudden cardiac arrest to “Screen Hearts, Save Lives” and create a healthier generation.

PTM’s new single “Twenty” brings attention to the fact that 20 young people between the ages of 6 & 25 die each day from cardiac ailments that often go undiagnosed.

The music video for “Twenty” shows the band, PTM fans, SafeBeat athlete ambassadors and SCA survivors out getting their heart rates going and being active.

Promise To Myself is an Alternative Pop-Rock band from Phoenix, AZ. Founded while in high school by Zack Bruge (Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals) and Brad Stockton (Lead Guitar) after they met in guitar class. They decided to start a band since they had a common B in their names…they needed a singer, however the one they wanted didn’t have a B in his name until he said his middle name was Brandon… welcome to the band Karl Nagy (Lead Vocals/Bass). Now they needed a drummer, in walked Tony Galvan (Drums) and the rest is history.

After playing dates on the Van’s Warped Tour and performances at NAMM 2020 brought attention to the band. Recently PTM signed with The Orchard (Sony) for the distribution of their music worldwide. Promise to Myself brings a fun and creative energy to the stage that will surely keep you guessing what might happen next!

In 2018 Promise To Myself released their debut EP “One For The Runaways” which can be heard in all Dutch Bros locations nationwide. The singles Another Tragedy and Monster from “One For The Runaways” can be heard in the independent science fiction film “The Unhealer”. The film shot entirely in Arizona has been winning awards at film festivals all over the world.

The band believes every fan is a part of their ever-growing family in the crazy thing called life.
