Veteran Musician Randy Seedorff Shines On”Begin Again” EP

With over thirty years of experience in the music industry, Randy Seedorff delivers another modern country Christian rock jam that any country fanatic will enjoy.

Experience comes with age, but that hasn’t stopped Randy Seedorff from releasing several albums since picking up the guitar at 11. A veteran singer and songwriter, Seedorff prides himself on his strong heritage in country music, and it shows with every track he’s released.

Since releasing his seven-track EP Elevate in 2017, Seedorff reinvigorated his musicianship for himself in the country and bluegrass genres, and it shows on his latest release Begin Again.

This eight-track album will be a sure favorite of any country devotee that’s looking for that old-school sound entwined with the modern production to back it up. It’s short, to the point, and will leave melodies in your head that seem impossible to forget.

The track Dream stands out not only as the opening track of the record but as a road-trip anthem for driving through back roads and exploring the great unknown.

The opening lyrics of Who Are You Tell What I Can’t Do, Well That Ain’t Right, leaves an impression of what kind of guy Seedorff—someone who prides himself on making his own decisions and going full-force with any endeavor he’s involved in.

Seedorff has a lower registered country twang that’s reminiscent of Elvis but with a country twist. It’s an engaging vocal delivery that gives the song a nice change of pace compared to so many country tracks.

The chorus takes off following the short pre-chorus and is an extremely memorable moment that any outdoor concert filled with fans will chant back in excitement. The second verse and second chorus follow a similar structure into the bridge guitar solo. Seedorff shows off his guitar chops, which concludes into one final chorus.

Prior to the release of Begin Again and his Elevate, Seedorff joined the popular Kansas City-based bluegrass group Greenside Up in 1992. Fulfilling the role of lead singer and guitarist in the group until 1999, Seedorff fell victim to an armed robbery that profoundly changed his life.

The experience changed Seedorff’s life for the better, causing him to pay full attention to his life and music, rededicating himself to God.

A few years later, Seedorff founded the group Soul Purpose in 2010, where they released their studio album Rearview Mirror in 2014. The album was a favorite amongst country and bluegrass fans, and it was produced by Larry Gann of Awe Struck Studios.

The first two releases from Seedorff’s 2017 EP Elevate reached number one on Christian Radio Charts. Nowadays, Seedorff serves as pastor of worship and discipleship at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Independence, MO.

Seedorff is also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and Gospel Music Association. He also has endorsements with Petersen Tuners, G7th Capos, and Reverend Guitars.
