Dirty Deuce Embark On 2021 “Bruised” Tour

(P.S. They're Gonna Leave a Mark For Sure!)

“There’s an element of danger to Dirty Deuce’s music, an appealing sleaze factor that nice people probably shouldn’t admit to enjoying, at least not by the light of day. Rock & roll should be dangerous and naughty… and if it’s Bruised, it’s gonna leave a mark.”

THE ROCK DOCTOR

Wisconsin’s rock ‘n roll road warriors, Dirty Deuce have embarked on their long-delayed 2021 “Bruised” Tour (named after their latest full-length album release), with a local performance at Riverfront Rendezvous Festival, 1100 Crosby Ave., Sunday, July 4. Set Time: 6:15pm-7:30pm. Free. Info: (715) 346-1531 or visit https://stevenspoint.com/409/Riverfront-Rendezvous

See below for the full Dirty Deuce itinerary (shows added daily).

Last fall the group released “Bruised,” the follow-up to their 2016 album, 333. The ten-track album rocks throughout with the tasty cacophony of noise that is Dirty Deuce. As the saying goes, if it’s Bruised, it’s gonna leave a mark!   The Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin-based group are: Reverend Rob Atwood, guitars, vocals; Jamey Clark, drums; Greg Rotiek, bass; David Passow, harmonica; and Matt Ostlund, saxophone.

The Dirty Deuce…Some Background

‘Reverend’ Rob Atwood and Jamey ‘J-Dirt’ Clark each boasted solid musical resumes before creating Dirty Deuce. In 1996 front-man Atwood formed The Probers, whom he toured with through 2004. Among that band’s claim(s) to fame: a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago that was one of the first-ever live Internet broadcasts (by the MTV2 network); and their song “Who’s Your Daddy” being featured in a 2003 MLB Playoffs series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox (Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez became known for using the phrase after striking out opposing players). Drummer Jamey Clark has played with Clyde Stubblefield (the original funky drummer with James Brown), “Godfather of Austin Blues” W.C. Clark, Pat MacDonald (Timbuk 3) and Jane Wiedlen (Go-Go’s) among others. Aforementioned Dirty Deuce members Passow, Rotiek, and Ostlund were added more recently.

What The Media Is Saying…About Bruised

Bruised is old-school rock with a modern take, an all-original tour de force and they own it. They are, unquestionably, a band apart, world- class musicians on a mission to entertain.”

BLUES HIGHWAY

“There’s an element of danger to Dirty Deuce’s music, an appealing sleaze factor that nice people probably shouldn’t admit to enjoying, at least not by the light of day. Rock & roll should be dangerous and naughty… and if it’s Bruised, it’s gonna leave a mark.”

THE ROCK DOCTOR

On Bruised, the new recording from Thy Dirty Deuce, Rob Atwood proves once again that he’s the master of gritty, groovy, heavy guitar licks, and Jamey Clark is the owner of a masterful, explosive, thunderous drum sound.”
