Tributo to Selena, EP by Jessica Medina. An all-star lineup assembled by the New York-based Dominican- born Jessica Medina to sing with her, including Nancy Sanchez, Nora Gonzalez, Carmen Ruiz, Julief Acosta and many others make this a must have EP.  Whether or not you are a Selena fan (is anyone not a fan) this EP will give your hours of joy humming songs like “Bibi Bibi Bom Bom”.  Video on YouTube.  Available on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Tidal.

If I Could, single and video by Charlott Day Wilson.  From her debut album Alpha.  A commanding combination of the poetry of her collaborators and her pulsing,  emotion- laden voice exploring queer identity and bravery.  Stunning.  You will watch the bull riding video over and over as you ponder this hypnotic piece of music.  Video on YouTube, stream on Spotify and all major platforms.

Fear and Loathing, single and video by Cartel Madras and Dom Dias. This  Canadian hip hop duo of sisters Bhagya “Eboshi” Ramesh and Priya “Contra” Ramesh produce some of the best rap out there – known as “Goonda Rap”. This song is melodic, in-your-face, powerful. The video is riveting, the lyrics explicit, the beat relentless.  Once is not enough to listen to this statement of who they are and how  they  control their world.  From their new album The Serpent & the Tiger.  Video on YouTube. Stream on all major platforms.

Gol(l)d  single, video by Mereba. From her latest project AZEB, the indomitable Mereba sings of hope and joy, showing off her baby bump.  Her seductive yet childlike voice, backed by sophisticated production and sweet backing vocals is just the thing to make your day better. Stream/download on all major platforms.

Harshest Critic by Allison Ponthier. Texas-born, New York-based budding singer/songwriter picks you up and sways you with her sweet, queer-country pop.  Smoothly textured, a bit gauzy, with soft country guitars  the song explores the relationship between audience and performer to plumb her own fears.  Absolutely beautiful. Videos on YouTube.  Stream on Spotify.

Stranger to Savior, single by X.Ari. The electro/alt pop singer whose performances blow audiences away has released this song to celebrate the new love in her life and in the process, a song that makes us all appreciate the joy of a partner who just fits, and of X.Ari’s extraordinary talent. From her new EP Anja, due out July 23.  Available on Apple Music and all major platforms.
