Justin Biltonen Rides On in “Heartache Rodeo”
Country crooner Justin Biltonen unleashes a classic honky tonk heartbreak barn-burner with his latest single, “Heartache Rodeo.” Offering delicate blends of fiddle and pedal steel guitar, Biltonen issues a personal reflection of himself, acknowledging his self-destructive patterns. “I’m good at making love walk right out on me… ” he sings, examining his own mistakes. Biltonen brings his own personal experience of losing love to introduce his own lyrical marvel.
Biltonen explained what it meant to him to write “Heartache Rodeo,” as well as what the deeper meaning behind the lyrics are for him. “I’ve always loved rodeo and wanted to write a song with that imagery,” explained Biltonen. “Rodeo is the one sport where the odds are always going to be stacked against you, you kind of have to get used to always losing. The ups and downs of love and loss are a lot like that, too.”
For Biltonen, finding a balance between his own personal experience and his curiosity of the rodeo life is found in the raw emotion of “Heartache Rodeo.” With all the organic sound of a classic 90’s country tune, Biltonen releases all of his past with his latest smash, “Heartache Rodeo.”
