Ben Lazarus releases latest single ‘Methadone’
OUT NOW Listen Here
Unlike any of Ben Lazarus‘ previous releases, ‘Methadone‘ is angry.
Written in a fit of rage in around half an hour, this alt-rock track was birthed after Lazarus found his girlfriend had hung out with a man who had slashed his tired a few days prior. Explaining the tribes and tribulations of being in a relationship with an addict, ‘Methadone‘ is personal, unapologetic and takes no prisoners.
Influenced by a plethora of acts, including Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age and Stone Temple Pilots, Ben Lazarus has taken a leap into the unknown with this release, and the world awaits with anticipation to see his next move.
Ben Lazarus lived in Sunnyvale until April of 2005, when he moved to go to film school in Los Angeles, and has lived there ever since. Over the next 15 years he wrote and recorded songs at home while working quietly behind the scenes.
Many of Lazarus’ songs feature drum tracks by his younger brother Jonathan, who tragically took his own life in 2013. In March, Lazarus signed to Napier Records, a label founded by Academy award-winning filmmaker Andrew Napier.
