Richard Lynch Delivers 100% Emotion On “Radio Friend”
Uplifting the voice of Country music for over 30+ years now is Waynesville, OH resident Richard Lynch. His passion for country music has made him a proud associate of the Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame and the Independent Country Music Hall of Fame. Richard doesn’t disappoint with his latest song, either.
Having released his 12-track album “My Guitar Drips Country” back in February 2021 that featured a tribute song to the late Doug Supernaw, Richard is set to make his next CD release later this year. The upcoming CD is expected to feature his new song “Radio Friend”, which is dedicated to his very good family friend and radio DJ Ray “Chubby” Howard, who passed away in 2021. The single comes out on January 28th, 2022.
Chubby Howard was a life-long friend of Richard and had been a friend of Richard’s Father, “Woody”, even before the country music star was born. Chubby hailed from Goose Rock, Kentucky, before his family moved to Franklin, OH, when he was just a teenager. His father had bought him a Sears Roebuck Silvertone steel guitar before they left Kentucky, which led to his life-long love and career of playing Steel Guitar. Chubby travelled all over the world playing country music and became a local legend and DJ on the local stations. He loved Richard Lynch’s music and always promoted him at all stages.
Richard picked his inspiration to record the song “Radio Friend” from another retiring DJ on the local station, “Real Roots Radio“. On his last radio show, DJ Gary Cohn commented, “if I don’t see you on the air, I will see you in the air”. Richard delivers the sentiment with 100% pure country feeling.
