Top Honeymoon Destinations

A honeymoon is an excellent time to relax and unwind from all the stress and wedding planning and trying to make sure everything goes just perfect. It allows you and your partner to strengthen your bond even further and have a few days just for yourselves.

It goes without saying that a honeymoon is a special day for you and your spouse, so you should do your best to make it a memorable experience. For that reason, we’ve prepared a list of some of the best destinations you can visit to make your honeymoon unforgettable.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is one of the most visited places in the world. According to Las Vegas tourism statistics, around 42 million tourists visited Las Vegas in 2019 before the pandemic. The city is known for its luxurious casino resorts and even more extravagant casinos. Even if you’re not a fan of gambling, casinos often invite celebrity performers, so there is always a fun show or two to visit.

However, Las Vegas is not just partying and poker. The city has numerous tourist attractions, and you can explore the city onboard a helicopter, take up a kayak through the Black Canyon, go tandem skydiving, and much more.

Venice, Italy

Unlike the fast-paced life of Las Vegas, Venice is an ideal place for a nice and relaxing honeymoon. The city is widely regarded as one of the most romantic places on the planet and is well known for its gondola rides through city canals.

In addition to that, Venice also has plenty of opportunities for sightseeing. You could visit the St. Mark’s Basilica church, enjoy opera at Teatro La Fenice, or even visit Palazzo Ducale. Venice is brimming with cultural and historical sites, so regardless of which landmarks you decide to visit, you are guaranteed to have a wonderful time.

Paris, France

Paris is a synonym for food, culture, history, art, and fashion. The City of Light has so many things to offer it would be impossible for you to visit everything during one trip. If you and your spouse enjoy art and history, you can see modern art at the Centre Pompidou, visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, or explore the Louvre Museum.

In-between tours of exploring the city, you can sample authentic French cuisine or try wines produced in the region. Of course, since you are visiting the world fashion capital, you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit a boutique or two and pick a gift for your significant other.

Bali, Indonesia

If you and your spouse are looking for an entirely different experience, then Bali is the place for you. With its mesmerizing beaches and peerless coastline, Bali presents you with a ton of fun activities to do, be it snorkeling or surfing, you name it.

Not only that, but Bali is full of its own culture, art, regional music, and wonderful rice terraces. In addition, you can also visit dozens of temples Bali has to offer, such as the Ulun Danu Temple, for example. Ultimately, you can simply take a tour around Bali and fall in love with the beautiful scenery.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is a perfect blend of beautiful beaches and ancient Greek history. Santorini consists of two major islands and a few small islets, allowing visitors to explore its gorgeous landscape formed by volcanic activity more than three millennia ago.

To soak in the essence of everything Santorini has to offer, you can sunbathe and swim, go on a hike and explore the islands on foot, and sign up for a variety of winery tours to taste wines unique to the region. In addition, you can even visit the archeological site Akrotiri or visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thera.

The Bottom Line

Each of the places we included on our list has something unique about it. Las Vegas offers an adrenaline-rich adventure ideal for thrill-seekers, while Paris and Venice are all about romance and creating memories together. As far as Bali and Santorini go, there are hardly any places on the planet that can compete with the perfect sceneries both have to offer.

If you and your other half are looking for something different, you can always try a destination that suits you two the most. In the end, the destination is not even all that important, as long as the company’s right.
