Jumpin’ the Broom, album by Markey Blue and Ric Latina Project. Wow!  This Nashville-based couple is the best blowout blues I have heard in a long time. Jeannette Markey and guitarist/songwriting partner Ric Latina have produced a blues album that is off the charts.  Pre-order on all major platforms .

King of the World, EP  by Abby Cone. Lovely country – is that a contraction in terms?  Not in this EP.  It has everything, horses, pedal steel, somebody done somebody wrong, and beautiful lyrics and music. A new dimension in country.  From her Hate Me album, order at Apple Music, Spotify, deezer for April 22 release.

Let’s Do It Again, single by Jamie XX. After a two year hiatus from the seminal electropop group xx, , Jamie xx has release an electro/house/pop/disc/ funk mashup that will keep you moving. Spanish and English. Stream on Spotify.

Surprise Me, single by Mallrat. Definitely x-rated but she knows how to make you laugh and blush while she sounds sweet. This will stick in your ears and make you hum long after the song ends. Stream/buy on Spotify, Bandcamp.

Exito, single/video by Flores. Combining music from both sides of the border into shimmering R&B, this Mexican-American-Indigenous  singer/songwriter and her collaborator and producer Maths Time Joy have produced a unique, dreamy, adventure into her heart.  Available on all major platforms.

They Don’t See US, single by Tiarra Girls.  Fun, tough, girl-power anthem with a Mexican  cumbia beat and multiple guitars.  These three  Mexican-American sisters  make music good for dancing, listening, thinking. They rocked SXSW.  Available on Spotify. Check them out on Facebook.

BONUS. Eyes Sparkle, single by BINX. No regrets, but nostalgia spun out in a song that grabs your heart. Stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon.
