Nobody Listens to Me, single/video by Francisco Martin. He takes you on a an emotional trip that  moves from soft and gentle to driving power and back.  This one deserves replays and careful listening. Available for pre-order on Spotify, deezer, Tidal, Apple Music. Out July 22.

El Renacimiento, álbum by Carla Morrison. Grammy-nominated and three-time Latin Grammy-winning artist Carla Morrison will release her highly anticipated album this week, featuring new songs and   previously released singles. It is a masterpiece, with a new music direction and her beloved signature style.  Spanish. On all major platforms.

Ursala, single by   Kisskadee . This is so much fun. Kisskadee is a musical sprite with a genius for finding just the right way to tell a story, keeping glued to your headphones.  I always feel better after one of her songs. Available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music.

Lo Curra, álbum by Soy Emilia. Colombian artist and producer Juanita Carvajal,  known as Soy Emelia, produces beats and melodies that are hypnotic and addictive.  With precise details highlighting a voice that won’t let you go, you can dance to her music or just kick back and groove.  Either way, she is dynamite. Look for her new album Argidulce in July. Spanish. Stream on Spotify.

White Power Outage Vol. 2, album by Free Radicals. You better sit down for this one – for a while at least.  Powerful lyrics in music forms that range from Latin music to Afrobeat to Jazz to Hip Hop. About half of the songs carry very strong political messages and every song is a gem….and there are a lot of them. Stream/buy on Spotify and Bandcamp.

Where Do the Hardcore Kids Go?, single/video by The Dreaded Laramie. Suburban bedroom pop? Not even close  –  listen closely to this Nashville indie power-pop femmecore band and you will hear the sneaky subversion gliding over the hot guitar solos and alt rock-punk beats.  On most major platforms.

BONUS. Emerging from the pandemic with a supercharged new studio line-up, Journey releases the first single “You Got The Best Of Me” off their forthcoming studio album, Freedom, due out July 8 via BMG – available for pre-order  on all major platforms.
