Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys Take us into the burning Sun-with release of their latest single GOTH BEACH, Darkness Shines Brightly
Boston based Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys make a splash with their new summertime anthem ‘Goth Beach’!
Walter Sickert & The Army of Broken Toys have created in Goth Beach a humorous and tantalizing look into the dark and brooding world of the Bleek existence of goths wanting a day out of frivolous fun, with a sound that mimics B52 hits and a no taking one’s self too seriously attitude, Walter and his rebellious crew take us out for a bit of fun.
The song declares ownership of the beach for all and beckons to all of the beautiful misfits and weirdos of the world to get their “nail polish on” put their “parasols up”, this song is amazingly fun and pokes fun not only at the initial imagery, but calling out the Goth icons and also making a but of fun of the old school Bach Party movies,
Walter may not have the perfectly balanced hair of Frankie Avalon or the bullet breasts of Annette Funicello ( Thank Goodness), but he does have the enthusiasm of Vincent Price and Uncle Boris Karloff on the way to the midnight Cinema!
