County Wide Goes “Fool Speed” Ahead In Newest Single

Kentucky-based country group, County Wide’s newest single “Fool Speed” takes the band’s sound to a a new level. Written and recorded by members, the song features an upbeat tempo and lyrics that are sure to get you dancing. The chemistry between members translates perfectly into the lyrics, creating an overall fun vibe. Listen to “Fool Speed” here!

“I think this song is very relatable to everyone. It takes me straight back to simpler times when I could just blow off my job and go hang with the boys or chase girls,” Anthony Campbell, bass guitar and backup vocalist explains. “I love a song that can take me back in time and I feel like this one does just that.”

The song sends you to a time when life didn’t feel so serious, and you had the whole world at your fingertips. With lyrics such as, “Where it ends, I don’t know, I got all day to get there and nowhere to go,” it’s impossible to not think about those summer afternoons when all you wanted to do was ditch your job and hang out with your friends. “Fool’s Speed” gives a realistic take on a first job, and a person’s willingness to drop responsibilities in order to have a good time. 

The lyrics are not the only element of the song that gives it an edge, the classic southern rock twang you get from the guitars, along with the collaboration of the bass and drums that really round out the song. Lead singer Aron Bunch delivers effortless vocals that allow the listener to put themselves into that nostalgic mindset.

“When composing the song ‘Fool Speed,’ it just had a great drive to it and I tried to incorporate that into the guitar parts to keep the song moving,” says Steven Standifer, lead guitarist. “The guys immediately loved the riff that I was able to come up with.”

Between the smooth lyrics and incredible instrumentals, “Fool’s Speed” proves one thing: County Wide is bringing the heat. Their ability to collaborate and produce a fun-loving, good time track makes it exciting to see how they translate this energy onto a stage. With shows on the horizon, County Wide is a cannot miss on tour.
