Blanca Navidad, single by Kenia OS. Every week until Christmas I am going to recommend a Christmas song, but they won’t be what you hear every year. This week Kenia OS brings us White Christmas (Blanca Navidad) in a version that is both traditional and all her own. Of cosurse it is in Spanish which makes it even lovelier. Stream of Spotify.

Nothing Standard, album by Jessie Palter. A bit if jazz, a bit of Broadway, a lot of Jessie, this album is exciting, interesting, and perfect for jazz fans, or almost jazz fans who like a voice and a little sparkle with the stand up bass  and drum brushes. Stream on all major platforms.

Difficult (Live for The Circle Sessions) by Gracie Adams. Gracie Adams can make you cry. All she has to do is play her guitar and sing and you are a puddle, voice is so beautiful ad her lyrics and so heart-piercing. This song from the live session will do just that, leave you in a puddle while you hit Repeat.  No wonder she opens for Taylor Swift. Stream on YouTube.

Drummer for Mon Laferte, composer,  the Chilean singer’s  new release  A night that ends, carries you away with the seductive smile in her voice and the soft, compelling rhythm. De Sobra Hay, single by Kafi, Full of hooks and dance beats, this song blends two great voices to create a classic.  A native of Monterrey Mexico and from a revered musical family, She wowed the FIMgdl audience. Stream on Spotify. Spanish.

A Veces, single by Espiral 7 with Kati James. Classic Latin dance music to hold your lver n your arms and sway back and forth and the rhythms guide you. But they are not all smooth swaying – check out their 2022 album Formas. They played at FIMgdl showcase and had us dancing. Stream on Spotify. Spanish
