Announcing ‘People Like Me’, Porpoise Spit’s first single on Psychic Hysteria

Release Date Friday April 28, 2023

‘People Like Me’ is the brand new single from Naarm/Melbourne based 4-piece Porpoise Spit, and hints at their debut album due for release later in 2023 via Psychic Hysteria.

‘People Like Me’ is a thumping challenge to the status quo with frenetic guitars, ethereal vocals and the iconic thundering crash home that we have come to expect from the ‘Spit.

The track follows Mill O’Sullivan’s plaguing self doubt in a time of transition and is a powerful NO to systems that expect you to conform. Holding flags high for the people who choose to inhabit the spaces in between, ‘People Like Me’ is for anyone who has had to explain themselves for simply being who they are.

Welcoming Rory Saba into the lineup and signing with Psychic Hysteria, Porpoise Spit have a jam packed year full of exciting new music, live shows, film clips, tours and an almighty album release in the works to bring the house down.

Catch Porpoise Spit live May 12 at The Gem with Scratch Match, and supporting Moody Beaches at their album launch at The Night Cat on May 20 alongside The Dacios.

‘People Like Me’ was recorded by Vince McIntyre at Taste Police Studios throughout the lockdowns from 2020-22 and mastered by Guy Faletolu. The single will be available for sharing and airplay from Friday April 28, 2023.

Please share ‘People Like Me’ far and wide from April 28! If you require any further info, or would like to organise an interview with the band, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. They’re a bunch of bloody legends, I tell ya!
