Eliza Neals’s Sweet New Single “CANDY STORE”
"She'll remain untouchable." American Blues Scene 2022
In the footsteps of artist such as Ruth Brown, Koko Taylor and Etta James, Detroit’s Blues / Rock sensation Eliza Neals serves up her new single “CANDY STORE”, a track that of a near-do-well with nothing but empty promises.
This tongue-n-cheek and quite humorous gem takes playing the dozens’ to new heights as the singer cuts him down to size and send him packing. In her own trademark fashion, she sets her mark and pops his balloon of false façade and comes out triumphant.
Its no surprise that Rolling Stones vocalist Mick Jagger himself said Eliza Neals is “A voice I soon won’t forget, great” back in 2020
Eliza Neals spins her lyrics into luscious ear candy, in her early years of performing at clubs in Detroit and hanging with Barrett Strong is where her sweet style was honed. “Candy Store” will make you laugh until your sweet tooth falls out.
Detroit friends were ready to throw down secret ingredients. John Galvin (Molly Hatchet) on Hammond B3 plus piano, Skeeto Valdez (King Konga) on vintage drums, Paul Randolph (Alice Cooper) on Bass, Mike Puwal (Kenny Wayne Shepard) on Guitar and Kymberli Wright (Straight Ahead) on backing vocals.
Recorded live inside Tempermill Studios in Femdale, Ml by engineer Eric Maluchnik. Mixed with additional tracking by Mike Puwal at Univoxl Milton FL and a final master by David Feeny (White Stripes) at the Tempermill.
