Exclusive Interview with Luisa Wilson

We are so excited to bring to you Luisa Wilson today. She is an up and coming super talented artist.  We have loved getting to hear your new single. Were you nervous or excited to put it out? Maybe a mix of both?  

Thanks so much! I was honestly just excited to put it out. It was written about a year and a half ago and I’ve performed it and re-written it so many times, so it makes me so happy that a final version of it is available to everyone! 

You are such a fun talented artist! Did you have any artistic or musical influences in mind when crafting your music?  

I have always felt very inspired by Amy Winehouse and Adele in my songwriting, but also a mix of so many artists and genres it’s hard to keep count. I’ve fallen in love with r&b in the past couple years, so I would say that has influenced the way I make music, as well as indie rock, soul, and jazz. 

What is your favorite part of being a musical artist? Where do you draw inspiration from?

My favorite part about being a musical artist is getting to have full creative control over what I make. Just like any artist of any medium, you get to craft your own world, and it’s such a great feeling when you get to share it with others. I draw most of my inspiration from the human experience. I find it fulfilling to write about my own experiences as well as others. 

Do you have any other projects you are currently working on? 

I am constantly working on new music, so things are in the works!
