Critically acclaimed pop artist ROZES’ latest release, “Call Me,” is the first to come out of Alicia Keys’ “She Is The Music” initiative. The program, announced in late 2018, aims to increase the presence of women in the music industry. Alongside independent label Photo Finish, ROZES delivers an emotional ballad with “Call Me,” filled with soft pianos and a vulnerable, raw, vocal performance.
ROZES’ song is directed at a friend struggling with mental illness: “I’ve been there before, I’ve tried to face it alone”… “pretending you’re in heaven when I know it’s hell,” sings ROZES. She encourages her friend to “call her” to talk through her issues. With over a billion streams to her name, and songwriting credits on multiple platinum records, ROZES shows no signs of slowing down. With “Call Me,” she show’s that she’s not afraid to explore critical mental health issues in her music.
