UK band Jack Blackman and the Beautiful Wreck release “I Wish It Was Summer (At Christmas Time)”

Jack Blackman and the Beautiful Wreck, a great UK band have released a humorous and very tongue in cheek track that will definitely be the Holiday fav for this new normal and COVID Christmas we are all dismally looking forward to.

“I Wish It Was Summer (At Christmas Time)” is a song that captivates what we all feel about the holidays, from wasted time traveling to family gatherings sure to cause ulcers to the disappointment of hand me down socks under a dying scotch pine faux tree, screaming kids and drunk uncles…

The song has a more virtuous and humanitarian background, as proceeds from the sales of this song will be used to comfort those that are less fortunate, to fight Homelessness. Downloads of the song, available on all digital platforms will support Musicians Against Homeless with all proceeds going to Crisis.

Singer-songwriter and guitarist Jack Blackman works regularly with homeless, socially isolated and vulnerable people as part of Street Arts, a weekly songwriting session held in Stratford-Upon-Avon and Warwickshire.

Fast developing into one the most accomplished and exciting young performers on the roots scene today, Jack Blackman cut his teeth in his teens trading licks and supporting such luminaries as Paul Jones and the Blues BandTony Joe WhiteDave Swarbrick and being lauded by BBC Radio 2’s ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris, acoustic guitar legend Martin Simpson, ‘At last! A brilliant young guitarist coming through’ and American bluesman Charlie Parr, ‘Just keeps getting better and better…it’s kinda scary’.
