BOSTON, February, 2025: Often compared to Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Pat Metheney and Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Boston-based band Bees Deluxe distilled their signature sound into a new “Smash Hits” album. This recording, celebrates several years of touring from Maine to Miami, playing to audiences in theaters, at festivals and in clubs and highlights just some of the band’s unique discography.
Selecting just 13 tracks from such a large and eclectic catalog wasn’t easy. These songs and tunes represent both live and studio versions of some the band’s best work and feature a host of musicians who have helped to hone the genre that Bees Deluxe has coined as “acid blues.”
