The world of music experienced a significant loss this week. Songwriter Hall of Fame legend, Chris Jasper, passed on February 23, 2025. His family stated he had been recently diagnosed with cancer. He was known as the primary songwriter and creator of the incomparable sound that made the Isley Brothers infamous for decades. As a classically trained musician and prolific songwriter, his career led him down many paths. He created his record label, Gold City Records in 1987 among other successful ventures. Our partner, Lamont Patterson of World Movement Enterprises, Inc. interviewed Mr. Jasper on I Am Indi, an entertainment show presented by WMR in 2014 and 2020. Lamont gave IndiePulse Music access to these exclusive interviews. Listen as he gains insight from the man himself!
IndiePulse Music Magazine extends our deepest condolences to the family of Chris Jasper in this difficult time! Rest in power Chris!
